2-on-0 - Low Post moves with cuts
Player 2 cuts and posts low either: 1) from the corner (executes inside arm/leg step-over), 2) from across the lane or 3) from sliding down the lane. Have your players practise all three. Player 1 gives a pass fake and a good one-hand push pass into the post then cuts to the basket. Practice going both ways, left and right-handed, from both sides. Player 2 progresses through: - Pivot, Turnaround jump-shot - Jab fake (using head and shoulders) one way, pivot and Turnaround jump-shot the other. - Pivot to face basket, fake shot, step-through lay-up - Power lay-up using one-bounce and drop step. - Bounce-pass to cutter.
Points of Emphasis Good cut / slide Target hand Receives the ball above low block Strive for perfect execution of moves

2-on-2 - Low Post moves with Defense
Add one defensive player at a time, first onto O2, then add defense on the passer, O1. Ask defense to cooperate at first, then play harder as offense gains confidence.
>From the corner, O2 practices the inside arm/leg step over to post-up. >From the other starting positions, O2 must use good fakes to beat the defense to the spot. O2 must be allowed to go to High or mid-Post as well. Work from High to Low Post, Opposite High to Low Post and from Opposite Low to Low Post. Work this drill from both sides.
