This is a gadget play that works well on turf and grass.
It is best if you run it on a field your players are use to the bounce they will get. The RB throwing the ball needs to have composure as well as a good arm. WR is a decoy to pull the safety away from the slot back. |

The slot back needs to make sure that he is behind the QB, or else the skip pass will be ruled an incomplete pass.
The QB takes one step back and skips the ball to the slot back. The slot back catches the ball and just stands there like it is an incomplete pass. He can even yell back at the QB for the bad pass. The other slot back that is running the out and up pauses for just a second then releases up field. |
